The 2017 Turnbull Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an absolutely gorgeous showing in this vintage. Composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec, this opens to inviting aromas of black raspberries, dark cherries and red plums which are laced with fresh cut violets, licorice and pipe tobacco which all develop in the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium-plus body and displays wonderful elegance and focus. It goes on to impress with it outstanding finesse and balance all the way through the seamless finish. While the reserve is simply gorgeous today, it should also go on to age beautifully for at least a decade.
