The 2016 Grand Vin is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Malbec. It displays a deep inky purple color which is followed by aromas of blackberries and dark plums which are woven together with nuances of dark chocolate, spices and toasted oak which all emerge from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied with notable depth and concentration. It offers a mouthful of ripe dark fruits accented by sweet spices and oak characteristics which persist through the long polished finish. This is a fantastic wine from Estela Perinetti which should go on to offer a drinking window that spans at least a decade.
