The 2016 Château d'Anielle begins with expressive aromas of dark cherries, cassis, charred soil and fresh pipe tobacco which immediately emerge from the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium-plus body that is well-structured with gorgeous polished tannins that are backed by a core of ripe fruit that expands beautifully across the palate. This is showing incredible in its youth, however it also has the potential for a wonderful evolution.
