CHÂTEAU GRAND TAYAC Margaux 2016

The 2016 Château Grand Tayac is a wonderful showing which starts off with inviting aromas of red and dark currants, along with florals, tobacco, spices, minerals and hints of licorice that all develop beautifully in the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium/full body that is well-structured with velvety, yet supportive tannins. It continues to impress as it displays a wonderful elegance and precision through the long polished finish. Overall this is an absolutely fabulous wine that is already quite expressive, however it looks as if it will have an even brighter future ahead. There won't be much of this to go around, this is an extremely small production release made by one of Bordeaux's most talented winemaker/consultants Eric Boissenot.
