Kistler sources this Chardonnay out of the E-Block in Hudson Vineyard, which is composed of a rare mix of volcanic and marine sediment soils. This stunning Chardonnay opens up with alluring aromas of lemon confit, tosted almond, tangerine and white nectarine, joined with seconday layers of wet stone, flint and spring flowers. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous rich and creamy texture, but beautifully balanced with fresh minerality and mouthcoating flavors of citrus and orchard fruits, which are underlined by the perfect touch of acidity. This is absolutely delicious today, however, this Chardonnay should continue to evolve beautifully over the course of the next decade.
