This Chardonnay from LaRue comes from the Goldridge sandy loam soils and coastal climate of the H. Klopp Vineyard. It instantly impresses as it delivers a beautiful bouquet with green apple, pear, lime tart, and tropical fruits, coupled with a secondary layer of crushed rock, lemon zest, honey and spring flowers. Upfront it hits you with lots of orchard fruits that transition into citrus and fresh mineral as the wine flows into the delicious finish. Winemaker Katy Wilson as crafted a sensational Chardonnay that should drink beautifully upon release or over the course of the next decade.
