The 2011 Estate Cuvée is absolutely stunning in this challenging vintage. Composed of 56% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc which spent 20 months in 33% new French Oak, 19% new Hungarian Oak. This beings with striking aromas of blackberries and dark currants woven together with fresh violets, licorice, mint and hints of tobacco all taking shape beautifully. On the palate this is simply marvelous, hi a wonderful sense of refinement, while boasting a medium-full body that is structured with gorgeous polished tannins and tremendous overall balance through the finish. The 2011 is drinking exceptionally well today, however there is still time left in this beauty.
