The 2016 Casa Gran 'Falcata' from Pago Casa Gran is a lovely showing. This forward and expressive red opens to an inviting bouquet that offers aromatics of dark and red berries with baking spices and hints of bittersweet chocolate all taking shape. On the palate this possesses a wonderful freshness, as layers of dark fruits are wrapped in velvety tannins which line the palate. This is showing marvelous at this stage, but should also continue to evolve beautifully for a decade. .
