The 2018 Carving Board Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon begins with aromas of red plums and dark cherries which are woven together with spices, licorice, cedar and a lovely hint of a dried herbal character that all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied and nicely balanced, lead by flavors of red currents, cherries and spices that continue through the finish. Overall, this is a nice value from an excellent vintage in Napa that should drink nicely over the short-term.
