The 2017 ‘Palengat’ Proprietary Red is nothing short of fascinating in this vintage. This instantly begins to impress as it releases incredibly fresh aromatics of black cherries, dark currants and cassis, which are woven together with tobacco, fresh cut violets, loam, graphite, mocha and hints of melted licorice that all take shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied, layered and well-polished with excellent overall structure. This continues to impress as it possesses excellent concentration and focus, with a core of beautiful ripe dark fruits that gushes on to the graceful finish. Displaying a fantastic combination of power and elegance, this gorgeous wine can be enjoyed in its youth, however it also has the potential to evolve for decades. Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc which was sourced from Champoux, Mach One, and Palengat Vineyards.
