The 2018 'Les Preuses' Chablis Grand Cru from Vincent Dauvissat is one of the finest wines I've tasted from this fabulous vintage in Chablis. As this slowly begins to unwind in the glass it releases striking aromatics of white peaches, crisp apple, grapefruit, salted lime, orange blossoms, sea spray and crushed limestone that all work together beautifully. On the palate this impresses with its remarkable textural richness, along with incredible overall focus and precision. It also possesses beautiful fruit at its core, which is framed by wonderful layers of minerality and bright acidity that provides fantastic energy and cut though the spectacular finish. Elegant and refined, this is an utterly thrilling Chablis from Dauvissat that should have a brilliant future ahead.
