A unique blend of 70% estate-grown fruit and 30% Seven Hills Syrah, this unique Oregon wine spends 18 months in 100% French oak barrels. Needing a few hours to open up completely, this expressive nose of macerated dark fruits, jasmine flower petal, ground cardamom, Brazillian rosewood and oak moss is enticing and inviting. A powerful wine on the palate with high acidity dominating integrated tannins, your tongue is treated with flavors of black cherry, blueberry, peppered salami, fresh rosemary and a hint of barbeque smoke. This wine needs a plate of smoked or barbequed meat to really be enjoyed to its fullest.
