A blend of different barrels sourced from several vineyards, this scintillating Domaine Serene Pinot Noir is aged for 17 months in 100% French oak barrels. Coming from a cool vintage, the nose is more fruit forward than I would have thought it would be. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry pie, freshly laid bark, rose petals and chocolate covered espresso beans fill the glass with its expressive and fantastic nose. The palate is incredibly powerful but delicate and will only become more pure and balanced with time in bottle and will be delicious for another 15 years. Think flavors of macerated blackberry, freshly baked pie crust, tobacco leaf and a touch of cigar box meld into one of the best Pinot Noirs that Domaine Serene mastered in 2017. Highly Recommended
