The 2018 Weitz Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is another absolutely stunning release from Carter Cellars. It instantly opens to gorgeous aromas of blackberries and dark currants which are laced with graphite, mocha, sweet spices and dusty minerals that combine for a wonderful expressive nose. On the palate this is full-bodied with a voluptuous texture and remarkable overall balance and depth. It goes on to impress with a gorgous seamless mouthfeel and dense layers of ripe dark fruits and sweet spices that persist all the way through the beautiful plush finish. This is nothing short of utterly delicious now and should go on to offer a fabulous drinking window that spans nearly two decades long.
