Located in Castiglione Falletto, within the Fiasco cru, Bric dël Fiasc was Scavino’s very first single vineyard Barolo, first produced in 1978. It is always one if the highlights from Scavino's lineup, as is the case in this vintage as well. The wine itself is gorgeous as it offers pretty aromas of dried red berries, cherries, licorice, floral, wet stones and hint of sweet spices all round out the nose. This is beautifully polished and firmly structured around fine tannins. The elegant finish is long and chewy, with red berries and licorice leaving a lasting impression. While this is showing some youthful appeal, it also shows the potential to evolve beautifully for years to come.
