This Barolo comes from the best plots of Scavino's seven crus. Classy and refined, this slowly unwinds in the glass releasing aromas of sliced strawberries, cherries, fresh cut florals, licorice, spices and wet stones which all take shape. On the palate this is tightly wound, with bright acidity and remarkable overall structure with a core of bright red fruits that continue to leave an impression all the way through the long finish. This is a gorgeous wine that should go on to evolve beautifully over time.
