FIGGINS Red Wine, Walla Walla Valley 'Figlia' 2018

A gorgeous blend of Petite Verdot and Merlot, this wine is aged for 23 months in French oak barrels. Aromatics of blue raspberry, baked boysenberry pie, sweet pea, violet petals, dried hay and cedar notes explode from the glass. Black and blue fruits, chocolate covered raisins, dusty tannins and medium plus acidity form the backbone of the wine and integrates well with the higher alcohol levels. This wine is still very tight and needs some time to evolve in the bottle to reach its full potential. If you drink the wine now, give it a long decant, possibly overnight - or enjoy over the next 15 years or so. 865 cases produced.
