This blend consists of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot and sports an expressive nose of blackberry juice, pencil shavings, cocoa nibs and a dusty gravel road. The palate is fruit forward and shows flavors of boysenberry, dark cherry pie, milk chocolate, dried poultry herbs and notes of cedar. The acid is high and the tannins are medium and integrating nicely into the core of the wine. A robust and fruit-forward wine that would go perfect with a medium-rare steak. This wine spends 22 months in French oak barrels with only 30% being new. 1500 cases produced.
