The 2017 Pajana Barlo from Clerico is simply dazzling. Elegant and refined, this opens to beautiful aromas of fresh sliced strawberries, raspberries and cherries, which are laced with spices, fresh floral, eucalyptus and wet stones that all emerge gracefully from the glass. On the palate this is beautifully structured, with fine tannins, that are silky yet firm. It goes on to display remarkable overall balance and precision, with outstanding balance of minerality and acidity. It continues to impress with its striking purity and mouth watering flavors of fresh red fruits, spices and wet stones that gracefully lead into the long finish. This is a simply stunning Barolo that while already quite impressive in its youth, should offer years of drinking pleasure ahead.
