The 2017 Barolo ‘Gattera’ is another fantastic release from Bovio in this vintage. Fresh and inviting, this opens with gorgeous aromas of dark cherries and red berries followed by eucalyptus, dried spices and dried floral. On the palate this is beautifully balanced and structured with fine, silky tannins. There is a wonderful element of depth as this continues to deliver a mouthful of juicy red fruits and spices through the long finish. Overall, this is a superb Barolo which should continue to become even more compelling will bottle age.
