The 2018 Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon is a remarkable release from Amici Cellars. This immediately impresses with its gorgeous aromatic profile of ripe blackberries, blackcurrants and black cherries, which are accented by spices, herbs, graphite and shades of dark floral nuances all coming together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied, concentrated and well-structured with a wonderful plush, layered texture that makes it extremely appealing. It goes on to display wonderful concentration and depth, with layers of beautifully ripe dark fruits that are laced with violets and crushed gravel characteristics that weave their way through the long, polished finish. The 2018 Spring Mountain is a fantastic wine to approach upon release, but is also worthy of long term cellaring.
