PASXA Syrah, The Rocks District ‘SJR Vineyard’ 2019

Deep purple in the glass, this phenomenal Syrah from the SJR Vineyard in The Rocks District is expertly crafted by winemaker Todd Alexander of Force Majeure in his sophomore release of the Pasxa lineup of wines. Over delivering on the nose with aromas of blackberry, black-peppered salami, dusty gravel road, dried purple flower petals and a hint of dark chocolate. Meaty notes of smoked pork ribs and crushed black peppercorn are the first to register on the palate followed by an explosion of boysenberry and dried crushed field herbs. It’s medium to full bodied, with ripe tannins and a silky, beautiful finish. Highly recommended.
