The 2018 'Perennius' Cabernet Sauvignon is drop dead gorgeous. This seductive wine begins with incredibaly perfumed aromas of ripe blackberries, blueberries and dark currents, which are accented by nuances of cigar box, sweet spices, violets, loam and hints of fresh sage nuances which all burst from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied, layered and remarkably concentrated, with impressive depth. There is a wonderful display of balance as the deep, intense fruit character is underlined by lovely acidity, which adds a gorgeous sense of freshness. This goes on to impress with its outstanding structure and beautifully polished frame that persists through the long multi-dimensional finish. The 2018 Perennius is simply amazing and nothing short of utterly delicious at this early stage, however it also has the stuff to cruise in the cellar for decades.
