From the Larner Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, this 100% Grenache is fully destemed, fermented in one-ton bins, and is aged for 19 months in 25% new French oak barrels. Wonderfully expressive on the nose and on the palate, this medium ruby Grenache is a joy. Wild strawberry, thimbleberry, pink peppercorn, wet sand and herbs de provence are all present. Finishing with medium acidity, medium tannins and a lengthy finish, this is a beautiful wine and should cellar another 8 years or so easily. Only four barrels produced.
