The 2016 Castelli di Grevepesa Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 'Lamole' is a fantastic this vintage. This begins with inviting aromas of red cherries and plums which are woven together with spices, licorice, thyme, minerals and hints of wild flowers. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and beautifully structured with a velvety, yet firm texture. It finishes long, with red fruits and spices lingering on and on. Overall this is a simply gorgeous Gran Selezione which is accessible now, but also shows wonderful aging potential.
