The 2018 Cardinale is a spectacular wine in this vintage. Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon this releases stunning aromas ripe cherries, blackberries and blueberries along with tobacco, wild herbs, graphite and dusty undertones all coming together beautifully. On the palate this full-bodied Cabernet shows wonderful elegance and refinement, with an expressive core of ripe dark currants and minerals that are framed by gorgeous polished tannins. It continues to impress with its remarkable structure, as it all comes together seamlessly with wonderful focus and balance leading up to the precise finish that displays tremendous length. Winemaker Chris Carpenter has crafted a beautiful rendition of Cardinale that is impecabally made with wonderful ageing potential.
