The 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Michel Rolland is a hedonistic red that begins with intense aromas of ripe blueberries, blackberries and dark currants, which are woven together with dark chocolate, graphite, fresh herbs, baking spices, licorice and crushed gravel nuances that all explode from the glass. On the palate this offers a full-bodied, opulent texture that is layered and voluptuous with amazing depth and concentration. It continues to deliver loads of ripe dark and blue fruits which build up and cascade on to the long, plush finish. There is nothing not to love about this, it a is simply delicious, fruit forward Cabernet that outstanding today and should continue to provide drinking pleasure over the course of the next two decades.
