The 2018 Ultimate Debate is a fantastic blend of 62% Cabernet Franc and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from prized vineyards across the valley. The Cabernet Franc sourced from Sleeping Lady Vineyard, Beckstoffer To Kalon and Stagecoach Vineyard and the Cabernet Sauvignon from Artalde Vineyard, Denali Vineyard and Sacrashe Vineyard. As far as the wine itself, it is simply delicious offering bold aromatics of blueberries, huckleberries and black currants woven together with tiled-soil, dark chocolate and hints of exotic spices all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied and layered with plush tannins that wrap the deep, concentrated core. This goes on to pump out layers of ripe dark and blue fruit flavors that are accented by dark chocolate and spices which leave a lasting impression. To sum it up, this is a scrumptious, crowd-pleasing bottle of wine that is drinking excellent right now, and should also age nicely. The Ultimate Debate is produced in a Magnum format only.
