The 2019 Acumen 'Peak' Cabernet Sauvignon begins with lovely aromatics of high-toned blackberries, dark currants and cassis that sit along side nuances of sweet spices, salted dark chocolate, violet and earth which all develop in the glass. On the palate this is well-structured and concentrated, balanced by wonderful underlying acidity adding a sense of freshness. It's packed with intense flavors of ripe black and red fruits backed by mineral and earth, which all come together on the long, supple finish. While this is displaying some nice upfront youthful appeal, it is also a Cabernet that should offer a drinking window thats spans two decades.
