00 WINES Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 'Richard Hermann Cuvée' 2019

The 2019 Pinot Noir, Richard Hermann Cuvée is an absolute knockout. This starts off with inviting aromas of wild strawberries, red cherries, pomegranate, violets, and spices. With some extended air contact this adds in even more complexity with lavender, cherry pipe tobacco, mint, dried spices, white pepper and leather notes all taking shape. The palate is bright, focused and pure, with gorgeous ripe black cherries and red currant fruit, combined with with earthy mineral flavors, orange peel and spices. The finish is very long and elegant with vibrant acidity leaving a lasting impression. This is beautifully crafted Pinot Noir that is utterly striking in its youth, but ultimately will become even more compelling as it thrives in the cellar for the next two decades and beyond.
