The 2019 Rutherford Hillside Reserve Cabernet Saivignon is a wonderful showing in this vintage. It begins with inviting aromatics of dark currants and blackberries, which are woven together with sweet spices, graphite, mocha and hints of fresh wildflowers that all come together in the glass. On the palate this possesses a full body that is rich, velvety and well-structured. It goes on to display lovely characteristics of dark fruits, mocha and dusty nuances that are nicely concentrated through the finish. This is simply delicious now and should continue to evolve and drink well for a decade.
