The 2020 Chateau Amelisse is fresh and inviting, as it displays bright aromas of dark cherries, red berries and plums which come together with warm spices, sweet oak, licorice and some herb nuances that all develop in the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied, with notable overall balance and a wonderful polished texture and bright underlying acidity that frames the finish. This is excellent now, but it allow it another year or two to mellow.
