The 2019 Bionic Frog Syrah is absoutly remarkable to say the least. As this begins to unwind in the glass it displays striking aromatics of black raspberry coulis and blackberries which are woven together with spices, savoty herbs, salted meat, iron and wet gravel all taking shape. On the palate this posseses a medium/full-body that is impeccably structured with beautiful silky tannins that result in a wonderful finessed mouthfeel. It goes on to display excellent overall concentration along with incredibale prescision and balance all the way through the long finish. While this is already impressive in its youth, I would only expect it to become more compelling over time and would allow it at least a few more years of bottle age before approaching. Nonetheless, it is an utterly fascinating Syrah and a must have for any Syrah lover.
