2018 is the debut vintage for the 'Giovanni Neri' Brunello di Montalcino. This is an absolutely beautifully made wine that slowly unwinds in the glass, offering aromatics of cherries, red berries and plums that are woven together with freshly cut florals, spices, mint, walnuts, licorice, leather and hints of fresh white truffle, all taking shape in this gorgeous Brunello. On the palate it possesses a medium body that is impeccably structured displaying a stunning refined texture with an incredibly precise mouthfeel and remarkable overall balance leading into the ultra-long finish. Today, even at this young age, this shows flashes brilliance, however this is a Brunello that will demand patience before it reveals its full potential.
