The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino from Casanova di Neri is gorgeous. Showing wonderful finesse and class, it opens to aromas of cherries, strawberries and plums, which are woven together with dried florals, herbs and exotic spices that all take shape. On the palate this is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced with remarkable overall focus and precision. It continues to impress with its sleek texture that leads into a finish as it lingers effortlessly. This is a fantastic showing in this vintage, and while it is already appealing now, there also looks to be a lovely future ahead.
