The 2011 Marenca is an absolutely stunning Barolo. As this gorgeous wine slowly unwinds in the glass it begins to release seductive aromas of ripe strawberries and raspberries followed by mint, sweet spices, licorice and fresh minerals. This structured Barolo is impeccably balanced and focused with a wonderful polished texture and a long, juicy finish. The Marenca is already very appealing when given some air contact, however it would be best to allow this another couple of years in bottle. (Best 2017-2031) - June, 2015 (JD)
