The 2015 Gramercy Cellars 'Olsen Vineyard' Rose is a fantastic new release wine from this estate. This wine is sourced from the Olsen vineyard, first planted in 1980, which is located the Yakima Valley from north of Prosser to north of Benton City. The vineyards are planted on several different sites with a wide variety of slopes, aspects, and elevations. Gramercy has created their Rose out of a unique blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah, which gives this wine an intriguing CDR feel. The wine opens with aromas of Bartlett pear, guava and starfruit. This leads to flavors of Bing cherry, strawberry, spicebox and guava of with a long finish that brings out a creamy edge. Very impressive and polished wine with a plush texture in this esteemed Rose bottling. (Best 2016-2020) - April, 2016 (OB)
