The 2009 'Serego Alighieri Vaio Armaron' delivers aromas of dark cherries, blackberries and roasted plums along with with sweet spices, tobacco and dustings of chocolate, which all come together in beautifully the glass. Full-bodied and voluptuous with gorgeous velvety texture. Everything remains nicely structured as it work its way into the finish. This is a remarkably well made Amarone with wonderful aging potential and I expect it to continue to show well for years to come. (Best 2018-2030) - June, 2016 (JD)
