The 'Villa Maggiore' Langhe Nebbiolo is produced from declassified Nebbiolo da Barolo grapes, 60% from the Costabella Hill in Serralunga, and 40% from Grinzane Cavour. This old school, traditional style Nebbiolo offers delicate aromas of strawberries and raspberries laced with rose petals and wet stones. This light to medium-bodied Nebbiolo is structured around ultra-fine tannins, with a mineral driven core. The finish is fine and silky, with notes of strawberries and minerals. Overall, a pretty Nebbiolo, which will benefit from some additional bottle age. (Best 2019-2025) - June, 2017 (JD)
