Sourced from the Kenny Hill Vineyard, this wine was aged in roughly 50% new French oak prior to bottling. Roasted hazelnut, brioche and creme brulee aromatics hit you instantly. The mouthfeel is plush and downright rich. The minerality of this wine is also really nice, as is the ripe tree fruit flavors that connect with Meyer lemon creme brulee and brioche accents. This is an outstanding new wine by Den Hoed. A long ager, this will pick up lovely secondary characteristics as it evolves in the bottle. (Best 2017-2025) - October, 2017 (OB)
