The 2015 Herb Lamb Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a spectacular showing from this property, and the fruit was sourced from the same block that Ann Colgin had used in her Colgin brand for fifteen years. The wine speaks for itself, as it opens to wonderful aromatics of red currants, cassis and hints of blueberries along with pencil shavings, sweet spices, chocolate and a slight savory character which are all captivating in the glass. On the palate this is beautifully structured, with a gorgeous round, polished texture and excellent concentration, as flavors of red and blue fruits combine with bittersweet chocolate to leave a lasting impression. While this offers plenty of early appeal, readers should try and show patience, and allow this at least a few years of bottle age to reach its full potential. Nine barrels made.
