The 'Annia' from Massican is absolutely spectacular in this vintage. A blend of 55% Ribolla Gialla from vines planted in planted 2000 and 2009, 39% Tocai Friulano planted 1946 and 2007 and 6% Chardonnay from Hyde planted in 1992. It begins with beautiful aromas of lemon curd, crushed almond, green apple, ripe pear, honey and spring flowers. On the palate it possesses gorgeous textural richness, which is balanced out with a a blast of acidity and freshness on the finish. Overall, this an utterly delicious wine that over delivers at this price point. One of the most impressive examples of this bottling to date from Dan Petroski.
