The 2011 'Jamilla's Single Vineyard, Perdriel’ is a superb offering, instantly opening with intense aromas of blackberry and cherry reduction followed by freshly ground coffee, loam, chocolate and spices which all come together giving the impression this is going to be a massive wine. On the palate however, things are quite nicely balanced and it does not get out of control by any means. It finishes up long and velvety leaving behind more layers of espresso and dark fruits that linger on. This is a wine that continues to elvove with every second in the glass and although accessible early, it will also age gracefully for years to come. A tremendous job by winemakers Bernardo Bossi Bonilla and Alejandro Sejanovich. The winery is also consulted by Michel Rolland’s Argentine consulting group; ENO.Rolland.
