The hedonistic and highly impressive bottling of Corte A is one for the cellar. The wine is a blend of 67% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Bonarda that was aged 18 months in French oak (60% new). This impressive wine begins with ripe aromatics of dark chocolate shavings, pencil lead, sage and boysenberry preserves. There is nice weight and viscosity on the palate, yielding flavors of mocha, blackberry cobbler, green bell pepper and suggestions of creosote. Lush and silky wine with a gorgeous texture and rich viscosity. (Best 2016-2026) - March, 2016 (OB)
