Andrew Januk is making stunning wines from both the northern and the southern hemisphere and this 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, which rests in 100% new French oak barrels, is a great example of his Uco Valley Malbecs. Showing deep ruby with a neon pink rim, this wine gives a bit more blue fruit and black cherry on the nose than the gorgeous black-fruit heavy 2017. It follows up by delivering striking flavors of red and blue plum, tobacco, ground espresso and dried poultry herbs. Full bodied with mouthwatering acidity, the finish is perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. 402 cases produced.
