Imprimata Proprietary Red 2009

2012 TOP 50 WINES - Rank #48
I always love when a wine brings both power and elegance, especially when it also has such complex layers of black and blue fruits, pepper, spices, olives, floral, and some forest notes that flow endlessly from the glass. This is full-bodied, yet light on its feet and has a beautiful tight structure backed by an ultra-long finish. A fantastic job by Benjamin Hammerschlag and Winemaker Ben Glaetzer on their new project. This is Composed of 80% Shiraz and 20% Petite Sirah and should thrive in a cellar for over a decade. (Drink 2014-2024) - July, 2012. (JD)
