The 2018 'Ravenswood' Cabernet Sauvignon opens to inviting aromatics of cherries, boysenberries and red currants which are woven together with spices, pepper, florals, tobacco and hints of loam. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied with wonderful poise and a lovely fresh character. Gorgeous underlying acidity beautifully frames the sweet red fruits and peppery spice flavors, which persist through the finish. While this is simply delightful now, it should also continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
