The 2018 Monterra Shiraz begins with an aromatic profile of blackberries, cherries and brambleberry nuances, which are framed by spices, licorice, and hints of forrest floor herbs all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is fresh and inviting with a medium-plus body that is nicely structured with muscular tannins that grip nicely on the long finish. This is drinking beautifully today, but should also have nice short-term drinking window.
