January, 2012 - The 2009 Maitre D’ from Mollydooker is so big and dense with almost "port-like" black and blue fruit reduction backed by a sweet and spice characteristic, vanilla notes and some underlying floral scented perfume. Full-bodied with a round and polished frame. The balance is seamless with the 15% alcohol hardly noticeable. This wine is really delicious, but not for the faint of heart. Aged in 77% American oak and 33% French, 49% new oak. (Drink 2012-2015) - JD
