The 2008 Elderton Barossa Valley Estate Shiraz shows notes of black cherry, blueberry, underbrush, pepper, spice and some coconut. This is full-bodied, dense and well structured with underlying freshness keeping it balanced through the fruit-filled finish. The heat does spike at times, but other than that this is a solid effort from one of Australia’s top producers. (Drink 2012-2017) - November, 2011 (JD)
